Abstract:〔Abstract〕Objective To investigate the efficacy of esmeprazole in the treatment of pharyngeal reflux. Methods 80 patients with pharyngeal reflux treated in the Department of Otolaryngology of North Guangdong People's Hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were randomly divided into two groups, 40 cases in the control group and 40 cases in the observation group. On this basis, the control group was treated with oral omeprazole and the observation group was treated with oral Esmeprazole. The clinical efficacy, symptom score changes and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%, which was significantly higher than 75.00% of the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the symptom scores of pharyngeal reflux, hoarseness, chronic cough and poor swallowing in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions such as diarrhea, abdominal distension, nausea and dizziness in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Ezmeprazole is effective in the treatment of pharyngeal reflux, it can effectively alleviate symptoms, reduce gastric acid reflux, and has a low incidence of adverse reactions, which has positive clinical significance.
