Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Population aging has become a global health problem. It is an important risk factor for major diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and cancer. Currently, there is no clear and effective anti-aging treatment. Chinese herbal medicine has a long history of application in China and is commonly used for the treatment of aging-related diseases. The search for efficient, non-toxic and safe natural antioxidants from Chinese herbal medicine is an urgent need and one of the current research hotspots. A large number of clinical and preclinical studies have been conducted on the anti-aging effects of herbs. In this paper, the authors reviewed the clinical studies on anti-aging of herbs and clinical studies on herbal components, extracts and their mechanisms of action.
