Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective The effect of intestinal preparation at different time before endoscopic resection of colon polyps was analyzed. Methods A total of 72 patients with colon polyps admitted to Putian Medical District of the 900th Hospital of the PLA Joint Logistic Support Force from March 2020 to March 2021 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 36 cases in each group. The control group underwent intestinal preparation 1 day before surgery, and the observation group underwent intestinal preparation on the day of surgery. The excellence rate of intestinal cleaning, the total incidence of adverse reactions, comfort scores, sleep quality scores and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the excellence rate of intestinal cleaning between the two groups (P > 0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).The comfort and sleep quality scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Before endoscopic resection of colon polyps, intestinal preparation on the day of surgery can achieve intestinal cleaning effect similar to that of intestinal preparation 1 day before surgery, reduce incidence of adverse reactions, improve patients' comfort and sleep quality during intestinal preparation, and improve their satisfaction.
