Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To study the clinical effect of atorvastatin combined with Wendan decoction in the treatment of hyperlipidemia. Methods Fifty-two patients with hyperlipidemia admitted to the Community Health Service Center of Jinshan Street in Huli district, Xiamen City from May 2019 to May 2021 were divided into a control group and an observation group with 26 cases in each group by random number table method. The Control group was treated with oral atorvastatin calcium tablets, the observation group was treated with Wendan decoction on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and blood lipid levels of total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein chesterol (LDL-C), triacylglycerol (TG) and high density lipoprotein cholesteroll (HDL-C) of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.31 %, higher than 69.23 % of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of TCM syndrome in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the HDL-C level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the levels of LDL-C, TG and TC were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significances (P < 0.05). Conclusion Atorvastatin combined with Wendan decoction is effective in the treatment of hyperlipidemia, which can improve TCM syndromes, reduce blood lipids and promote the transformation of the disease.
