Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To analyze the effect of group prenatal care + online pregnancy school in health education for elderly pregnant women. Methods From February 2020 to February 2022, 70 elderly pregnant women treated in the Pingxiang Anyuan Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. Pregnant women in the control group were given routine health care mode, and pregnant women in the observation group were given group prenatal care + online pregnancy school mode. Complications during pregnancy and delivery, neonatal Apgar score, knowledge of pregnancy health, self-care management, and quality of life during pregnancy were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of complications during pregnancy and childbirth in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the Apgar score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). After intervention, the scores of pregnancy health care knowledge and self-care management in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The scores of quality of life during pregnancy in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Group prenatal care + online pregnancy women school mode can reduce the incidence of pregnancy complications in elderly pregnant women, improve pregnancy health knowledge, self-care management ability and quality of life during pregnancy, and improve newborn health.
