Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore the clinical effect of Yupingfeng Granule combined with umbilical paste in the treatment of children’s sweating syndrome. Methods From March 2020 to March 2022, A total of 104 children with sweating syndrome treated at Pingdingshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a control group (52 cases) and an observation group (52 cases). The control group took Yupingfeng Granule orally, while the observation group combined oral Yupingfeng Granule with umbilical paste therapy. The treatment duration was 4 weeks for both groups. The changes in therapeutic effects, scores of main symptoms (sweating) and secondary symptoms (fever, cough, loss of appetite, insomnia, abnormal urination and defecation, restlessness) of traditional Chinese medicine, serum acetylcholine (Ach) level, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.23%, which was higher than 80.77% of the control group’s, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores of main and secondary symptoms in the both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group’s scores were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). The serum levels of Ach in the both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the serum levels of Ach in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). No significant adverse reactions was observed in the control group during treatment, while there were 3 cases of umbilical skin redness and swelling in the observation group, which improved after the nextday application. Conclusion Yupingfeng Granule combined with umbilical paste has a significant therapeutic effect on children with sweating syndrome, can alleviate clinical symptoms, improve children’s sweating condition.
