Abstract:〔Abstract〕 Objective To explore the management and application effect of inpatients escorts based on the intelligents escort platform. Methods A research and development team of intelligent escort system for the management of inpatients escorts was established, and trial operation was conducted in clinical application pilot departments. Nursing staff, patients or family members who placed orders for companionship before and after the application of the intelligent escort platform in four pilot departments of Shenzhen Second People's Hospital from January to June 2023 were selected as the study objects. Nursing staff, patients or family members who placed orders by telephone routinely from January to March 2023 were selected as the control group, and those who placed orders through the intelligent escort platform from April to June 2023 were selected as the observation group. And the differences in application time for accompanying care, quality of escorting work, and the satisfaction of medical staff, patients, or family members with accompanying care were compared between the two groups. Results The application time for escorting of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the quality score of escorting work was higher than that of the control group, and the satisfaction of medical staff, patients or family members with escorting was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion The management platform of companion personnel for inpatients based on the intelligent escort platform effectively shortens the time for patients to apply for companionship, improves the quality of companion work, and the satisfaction of companion service is affirmed by the patients, their families, and the medical staff.
